Our campsite, located near Buis-les-Baronnies and close to Vaison-la-Romaine and Nyons, enjoys a privileged location in the heart of the Drôme Provençale region. A journey full of flavors and aromas awaits you at Domaine de l’Écluse.
First, you'll be captivated by the number of outdoor activities available, whether you're with family, friends, sports enthusiasts, or on your own. From our campsite, lovely hiking and cycling trails allow you to discover the Ayguemarse Valley and Bénivay-Ollon, including its Saint-Jean d’Ollon chapel with its breathtaking views! From Buis-les-Baronnies, you can access hiking trails, cycling routes, and the Saint-Julien Via Ferrata. For a more adventurous experience, rock climbing is available near our campsite, and paragliding is about 30 kilometers away.

The famous Mont Ventoux
Recognized“Biosphere Reserve”by UNESCO, the one nicknamed the “Giant of Provence”is a must. On foot, by bike, by caror by motorcycle, climb to the summit of Mont Ventoux and get a superb viewpoint over the entire region. Many activities are offered at Mont Ventoux such as tree climbing, pony rides, and more unusual, devalkart or tubing and many others.

The town center of Vaison la Romaine is located 16 kilometers from our campsite in the countryside. The town of Vaison la Romaine has more than 2,000 years of history under the open sky. Stroll through the center and surrounding areas to discover exceptional sites: archaeological sites of Puymin and La Villasse, the Ancient Theater, the Roman Bridge in particular.

You cannot miss the Provençal markets: from Vaison la Romaine (Tuesday), via Buis les Baronnies (Wednesday) and ending with Nyons (Thursday), which gives its name to the PDO of the local olive. You will discover gourmet specialties and meet many local producers. You can visit vineyards and meet passionate winegrowers, or sit on the terraces of the restaurants that will punctuate your visits.

Between one and two hours' drive, you can reach many other points of interest in Provence such as Orange, Avignon, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, l'Isle-sur-la- Sorgue, Grignan, Montélimar, Pierrelatte, Dieulefit, the Gorges de l'Ardèche, Rémuzat, the Drôme Valley and Vercors. The Domaine de l’Écluse is the perfect base for discovering the entire region.
